In My Opinion

Says I

Let me confess something. I have very little faith in people, and I have very few friends. I like being alone. This does not make me feel lonely at all; neither do I find it strange. This has been brought about by my experience in life.

You see, life is all about how you see it, and your experiences. It isa from these experiences that you plan your future. So I do not have much faith in the goodness of people. And it goes back to the time my father had a motorbike accident.

When my father was younger, he bought a motorbile. He was making good money, by our standands, and we lived quite comfortably. If fact I can say we were quite pampered. But then dad had an accident, and we were still young.

The accident caused him to be paralysed. Suddenly all friends who had always been around dad disappeared. Just like that. And this included some of our so-called relatives. That they were beneficiaries of my father's generosity did not touch their hearts at all.

Later in life, I experienced virtually the same disappointments. At least I came to realise a few facts.

FRIENDSHIP:
Friends are your worst enemies. It is a fact that if you are well-endowed financially, and generous, you will have many friends. In your generosity, you will do anything to help your friends. You will trust them very much, introduce them to your closest friends and loved ones.

The same friends will then go out of their way to undermine you. They will break up your relationships wilh loved ones. The same applies if you suddenly seem to be experiencing hard times. Your so-called friends, the same who swore to die for you, will suddenly vanish, and will of course add a few snide remarks about you.

LOVE
I have to make up my mind whether it really exists. Most of what I have experienced seems to be based around a man's financial capability. I may be wrong, but I notice that the more money you seem to have, the more attractive you seem to become to the opposite sex. And just as in friendships, you have to be generous.

The main reason why I have remaineda bachelor for so long is bacause I have not found anyone who truly loves me for what I am, not for my family name or the percieved financial clout. Maybe Sir Cliff Richard had a point when he composed 'Bachelor Boy'!

What am I looking for in a wife? Just a woman I can trust; a woman who is honest and truthful. If you can find that woman anywhere in the world, please introduce her to me.

And what am I looking for in friends? Only that they should be decent people and sincere, people who should cement friendships and relationships; always ready to help and encourage.  And they have to be loyal.Or am I asking for the impossible?

But I do believe that we ara all born blameless, but somewhere along the way, we sort of lose our way. The world is a great place to be. But humans are destroying it. Do you share my views?
